DUI Suspect Arrested After Crash Near Terra Bella Kills 4-Year-Old Passenger
Tulare County, CA (May 20, 2025) Authorities arrested 42-year-old Ramon Castaneda III on suspicion of DUI after an ATV crash on Road 267 that killed a 4-year-old girl.
According to authorities, the fatal incident happened in Tulare County Saturday night at around 9 p.m.
Reports say that Castaneda drove a 2015 Polaris RZR XP4 northbound on Road 267 near Avenue 72 when, for unknown reasons, one of his two juvenile passengers was ejected and landed on the roadway.
Emergency responders transported the child to a local hospital, where she was later pronounced dead. Officers reported signs of alcohol intoxication in Castaneda at the scene and took him into custody.
Officials have not yet released the identity of the child. The crash remains under investigation.
