30-Year-Old Ramon Villanueva Arrested in Horrific Crash on Ben Maddox Way [Visalia, CA]

Visalia, CA (May 26, 2025) – 30-year-old Ramon Villanueva was arrested after a horrific crash on Ben Maddox Way that left a woman hurt.

According to authorities, the frightening collision happened early Monday, just before 2 a.m. at Noble Avenue and Court Street.

Reports say that police arrested Villanueva after a high-speed chase in Visalia ended in a crash that seriously injured a female passenger.

Authorities say that the pursuit began when officers attempted to stop a Mercedes that ran a red light at Noble Avenue and Court Street and continued onto Highway 198.

Villanueva lost control while exiting at Ben Maddox Way, crashing into a tree near a shopping center. Emergency crews transported a woman from the back seat to Kaweah Health with major injuries.

Officers later located Villanueva hiding in a closet at his home on South Pinkham Street. He was taken into custody and booked at the Tulare County Adult Pre-Trial Facility on multiple charges, including an outstanding warrant and an unrelated domestic violence case.
