RED BLUFF, CA (October 13, 2021) – Monday night, a deadly pedestrian crash on Lucknow Avenue involved Randy Aspillaga.
 
According to California Highway Patrol, the incident happened at around 8:40 p.m. on Lucknow Avenue near Dunvin Court.
 
Reports revealed that 51-year-old Randy Aspillaga driving a Ford Edge struck what he thought was a deer. Aspillaga continued driving home and later found out through a social media post that he might have struck a person.
 
Furthermore, Aspillaga called 911 and authorities interviewed him at his home.
 
Moreover, officials confirmed that the pedestrian, a 69-year-old man from Red Bluff, died from his injuries.
 
Meanwhile, officers do not believe that drugs and alcohol played a role in the crash.
 
Also, the incident remains under investigation.
