Rashad Martin Involved in Interstate 210 Deadly Collision [Irwindale, CA]

Irwindale, CA (April 13, 2025) – 18-year-old Rashad Martin of Fontana was involved in a fatal vehicle accident crash on Interstate 210 late Friday afternoon.

The fatal traffic collision between a gray Hyundai Elantra and a gray Chevrolet Impala happened around 4:40 p.m. on the westbound freeway east of Irwindale Avenue.

Investigators stated that Martin was driving a westbound Hyundai that veered to the right and struck a metal electrical box located on the right shoulder of the highway.

Afterward, the Hyundai continued in a northwestern direction and then hit the Impala that had entered the freeway from the Irwindale Avenue on-ramp.

Police said the Hyundai struck the Impala on the left side which then traveled in a westerly direction. The Impala finally stopped on its wheels in a dirt embankment area.

The Hyundai Elantra spun out of control and rested on its wheels in the same area.

Sadly, the 42-year-old Monrovia resident who was driving the Impala, was declared dead at the crash scene. The authorities did not say if he was the only occupant inside his car.

Investigators do not consider alcohol and drugs as factors in the collision.
