Two Drivers Injured in Rear-End Crash on MO-185 in Washington County

Washington County, MO (September 10, 2026) — On Monday afternoon, two drivers suffered moderate injuries after a rear-end collision on Missouri 185 in Washington County, Missouri.

The crash occurred around 3:23 p.m. on Missouri 185 near River Birch Road. According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, a 58-year-old Sullivan woman was driving a 2016 Nissan Sentra southbound when she slowed for deer crossing the road. A 34-year-old Sullivan man driving a 2026 Ford Explorer behind her failed to notice the slowing traffic and struck the rear of the Sentra.

Emergency crews transported both drivers to Missouri Baptist Sullivan Hospital for treatment. The Sullivan Fire Protection District transported the Explorer driver, while the Washington County Ambulance District took the Sentra driver.

Both vehicles sustained total damage and were towed from the scene.
