Greeley, CO (March 7, 2026) — Late Saturday evening, a tragic crash on 95th Avenue in Northern Colorado claimed the lives of two Loveland residents after their vehicle collided with the back of a semi-trailer.

According to authorities, the collision happened around 9:30 p.m. at the intersection of 95th Avenue and Weld County Road 54.

Authorities said a Subaru WRX carrying a 49-year-old woman from Loveland and her 36-year-old passenger was traveling westbound behind a semi-truck driven by a 42-year-old man from Gilcrest.

Investigators reported that the semi slowed down as the driver prepared to turn onto 95th Avenue. The Subaru did not reduce speed in time and crashed into the rear of the trailer.

The impact caused the Subaru to burst into flames. Both occupants of the car died at the scene.
