3 People Hurt in San Antonio Auto Accident on Interstate 35 and Somerset Road

SAN ANTONIO, TX (March 23, 2026) – Saturday morning, a crippling rear-end crash on Interstate 35 and Somerset Road injured three people.

The incident happened at around 8:00 a.m. on Interstate 35 and Somerset Road.

According to reports, a southbound Ford 150 traveling at a high rate of speed rear-ended a Tacoma. Then, the force of the crash pushed the Ford to crash into a metal barrier, block the lanes, and was struck by a semi-truck.

Moreover, responders transported two passengers of the Ford and the 37-year-old male driver of the Tacoma to a hospital with unknown injuries.

Furthermore, officers confirmed that the driver of the Ford fled the scene on foot after the crash.

At this time, the events leading to the crash remained unclear. When additional information becomes available, the public will be notified.

Due to limited information, the Texas Department of Transportation continued investigating the crash.
