Rebekah Cabral-Gonzalez and 2 Others Die in Highway 2 Collision [Los Angeles, CA]

Los Angeles, CA (September 5, 2026) – Rebekah Cabral-Gonzalez, 21, Jason Potter, 19, and Nevaeh Harper, 20, were killed in a Highway 2 collision early Friday.

The fatal crash happened past 1 a.m. on September 4 on the northern edge of the Angeles National Forest.

Investigators said a 2016 Hyundai Veloster occupied by six people, all from Wrightwood, was eastbound, when it swerved to the right and left the road.

The vehicle then overturned, travel down the embankment, and collided with a power pole.

Five of the car’s occupants were ejected from the vehicle, four of them died at the scene.

Troopers named the deceased as Rebekah Cabral-Gonzalez, Jason Potter, and Nevaeh Harper. 

Police have not released the identity of the fourth person killed.

Moreover, two of the car occupants were critically injured. 

Investigators said none of the occupants were wearing seat belts during the collision. 

Police also suspect alcohol as a contributing factor.
