46-Year-Old Reid Mykel Injured in State Route 821 Collision [Kittitas County, WA]

Kittitas County, WA (December 27, 2024) – Reid Mykel, 46, of Selah, was injured following a State Route 821 collision on Christmas Day.

It was approximately 7:45 p.m. when the solo-vehicle collision happened 12 miles south of Ellensburg.

WSP said a pickup truck driven by Robert Basford, 54, of Yakima, went off the roadway and struck a rock wall.

Basford and his passenger, Reid Mykel, were transported to Multicare Yakima Memorial Hospital with injuries.

Investigators said impairment did not play a role in the accident.
