2 Transported Following Travis County Deadly Crash
Travis County, TX (March 25, 2026) – Rene Herrera Jr., 20, of Austin, was killed, and two others were injured in a vehicle crash on FM 969 Sunday evening.
The fatal collision happened past 6 p.m. near Imperial Drive.
Officers said a red Dodge truck was westbound on the highway when it struck the rear right side of a white Ford F-150.
The Dodge then rolled, killing its driver, Rene Rodriguez Herrera Jr at the scene.
Meanwhile, responding rescuers rushed two other occupants of the Dodge truck to an area hospital.
The authorities are investigating the collision.
