Rescuers Respond to Hit-and-Run Crash on Hollywood Boulevard [Los Angeles, CA]

Woman Arrested Following Police Pursuit in Studio City

Los Angeles, CA (April 26, 2025) – Rescuers responded to a hit-and-run crash on Hollywood Boulevard Friday morning.

The traffic incident started around 9:30 a.m. at the intersection with Vine Street in Studio City.

Officers said a woman in a stolen pickup truck struck a man. The woman also struck another vehicle and a fire hydrant.

Rescuers said the male pedestrian refused to be transported to a hospital.

The authorities pursuit the woman until Coldwater Canyon, wherein spike strips flattened the truck’s two front tires.

At around 10:13 a.m., the stolen vehicle eventually rested in front of houses. The front of the truck blocked by a hedge and police vehicles were behind it.

Then at 10:42 a.m., a woman wearing a pink T-shirt exited the truck and got back inside.

Troopers closed both directions of Coldwater Canyon during the standoff.

At 12:22 p.m., police broke the rear and driver’s side windows using a long pole and deployed non-lethal gas into the cab three times.

The woman then opened the passenger-side door. LAPD SWAT officers immediately pulled her out and arrested her.
