Rescuers Respond to 2-Car Collision on Eastbound 210 Freeway [Pasadena, CA]

Pasadena, CA (June 09, 2025) – A horrific 2-car collision on Eastbound 210 Freeway prompted response from rescuers.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the frightening crash happened at around 12:22 a.m. on the eastbound lanes of the 210 Freeway at Lake Avenue.

Reports say that a two-vehicle crash forced authorities to close all eastbound lanes of the Freeway early Sunday morning.

The CHP reported the collision involved a silver sedan and a black sedan. The crash scattered debris across several lanes.

CHP responded quickly, issuing a SigAlert and deploying multiple towing companies to clear the damaged vehicles. Pasadena Fire Department also assisted, sending two engines and a rescue ambulance.

Initially, officials expected the closure to last an hour but extended it by an additional three hours at 2:46 a.m. Traffic resumed by 5:30 a.m. as crews finished clearing the scene.

Authorities have not released information on possible injuries. The investigation continues.
