Flint, TX (July 11, 2026)Rhanda Lacy, 60, of Crockett, and four others, including a four-year-old child, lost their lives in a Highway 155 collision Thursday morning.

Police said the deadly wreck happened past 8 a.m. near County Road 1263.

Investigators said a white Toyota Highlander was driven by Jonathan Ryal, 51, of Tyler, a Palestine ISD teacher and soccer coach. He was traveling south when he drove into the northbound lane and struck a white Cadillac SUV driven by Lacy, head on.

That vehicle was also occupied by Cynthia Donnell, 63, of Palestine, Leshonda Shepherd, 41, of Crockett, and a four-year-old child.

Immediately, the rescuers responded to the scene and rushed the four-year-old child to an East Texas hospital. The child was later airlifted to a Dallas hospital in critical condition, but later died.

Moreover, responding officers declared Lacy, Ryal, Donnell, and Shepherd, dead at the crash scene.

None of them were wearing seatbelts and the child was not using a safety seat.
