Goleta, CA (December 27, 2024) – 76-year-old Ricardo Hernandez of Goleta was killed following a pedestrian accident on Hollister Avenue Christmas Eve.
It was past 7 p.m. when the fatal traffic accident happened on Magnolia Drive.
Troopers said two people were hit by a car while crossing the street at the intersection.
Ricardo Hernandez and the other pedestrian were rushed to a hospital where Hernandez succumbed to his injuries a few times later.
Meanwhile, there is no information on the condition of the other pedestrian.
Troopers said the driver remained at the scene and cooperated with their investigation and drugs or alcohol are not suspected as contributing factors in the accident.
