Passenger Richard Harrell Dead in Midkiff Road Collision [Midland, TX]

Midland, TX (September 4, 2026) – Richard Harrell, 27, and Javier Mendoza, 39, were killed in a Midkiff Road collision Wednesday night.

The deadly crash happened around 11 p.m. at the intersection with Park Lane.

Police said the motorcycle driven by Mendoza with Harrell as a passenger, was northbound on Midkiff Road when it rear-ended Ford F-250. 

Mendoza was declared deceased at the scene.  

Rescuers took Harrell to Midland Memorial where he was declared dead. 

Officers consider speed as a factor in the deadly crash.
