Richardson Bicycle Accident Kills Ngan Thi Xuan Nguyen [Richardson, TX]

Richardson, TX (June 3, 2025) — 19-year-old Ngan Thi Xuan Nguyen lost her life after colliding with a vehicle Monday afternoon in Richardson.

The crash happened around 5:13 p.m. on June 1 in the 1400 block of East Arapaho Road. According to preliminary findings, the driver of a Toyota Avalon was exiting a parking lot and preparing to turn west onto East Arapaho Road when the collision happened.

Investigators said Nguyen was riding her bicycle eastbound on a sidewalk that crossed the parking lot entrance and exit. As the Toyota pulled out of the lot, Nguyen’s bicycle struck the passenger side of the vehicle.

Richardson Fire Department paramedics responded to the scene and transported Nguyen to a nearby hospital. Despite emergency medical efforts, she later succumbed to her injuries.

The Toyota driver, who was alone in the vehicle, was not injured.

The Richardson Police Department’s Special Crash Investigation Team continues to investigate the circumstances surrounding the fatal collision.
