Drunk Driver Kills Ricky Ray “Reray” Reyes in Natomas Bus Stop Crash

Natomas, CA (August 8, 2025) – Authorities identified 19-year-old Ricky Ray “Reray” Reyes of North Highlands as the victim of a fatal pedestrian crash on Del Paso Road Wednesday afternoon.

According to authorities, the fatal crash happened around 3:15 p.m., police say a driver showing signs of intoxication struck Reyes near Del Paso and El Centro Roads while he waited at a bus stop.

Officers arrived to find Reyes in the roadway and attempted life-saving measures, but he died at the scene.

Authorities say that Reyes, remembered as kindhearted and dedicated, was preparing to serve his country through the Army National Guard and exploring a career in HVAC. He worked at Corti Brothers, where he was known for his friendly nature and commitment to his community. His death came just eight days before his 20th birthday.
