Robert Morehead Dies After Two-Vehicle Crash on Airport Road in Santa Fe

Santa Fe, NM (January 25, 2025) – 77-year-old Robert Morehead died in a two-vehicle crash on Airport Road.

Police reported that a motor vehicle crash on Friday at the intersection of Airport Road and Calle Po Ae Pi claimed the life of a 77-year-old Santa Fe man.

Responding shortly after noon, Santa Fe police discovered one driver trapped inside his vehicle following the two-car collision. 

Firefighters extricated the driver, identified as Robert Morehead, and transported him to a local hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.

The 24-year-old male driver of the second vehicle was also hospitalized but sustained non-life-threatening injuries.

Authorities are currently investigating the cause of the crash.
