Berkeley, CA (July 11, 2025) – 67-year-old Roderick Nared lost his life in a pedestrian crash on Claremont Avenue Tuesday evening.

According to local authorities, the incident occurred around 9:25 p.m. at the intersection with The Uplands.

Reports say that a vehicle struck and fatally injured Nared as he crossed the street.

Emergency responders transported the victim to a hospital where he died from his injuries. The coroner’s bureau has not listed a residence for Nared.
