Phoenix, AZ (May 23, 2025) – 46-year-old Rogelio Peregrino died in a hit-and-run crash on 35th Avenue early Friday morning.

Authorities have identified the victim as 46-year-old Rogelio Peregrino. Emergency crews responded shortly after 1 a.m. to reports of a collision involving a pedestrian near 35th and Northern avenues.

Investigators confirmed that a driver hit Peregrino as he walked in the area, then fled the scene without offering help.

Paramedics transported Peregrino to the hospital with life-threatening injuries, but doctors later pronounced him dead.

Police believe the vehicle struck Peregrino while he was walking in the northbound lanes of 35th Avenue.
