Rolando Barrientos and Pedro Griego Jr. Identified as Victims in Head-On Crash on Frazier Lake Road

 
Santa Clara, CA (June 3, 2020)– On Tuesday morning, a two-vehicle crash on Frazier Lake Road killed Rolando Barrientos and Pedro Griego Jr.
 
The tragic incident occurred on June 2 at about 8:05 a.m. on the south of Gilroy. California Highway Patrol said there were at least two vehicles involved in the crash.
 
Barrientos, the driver of a southbound 2015 Nissan Altima, swerved off the right side of the road. His vehicle then hit the guardrail of a bridge.
 
The 53-year-old Hollister resident then veered left onto the northbound lane, colliding with a 2005 Nissan Frontier driven by Griego.
 
As a result, the 37-year-old Pedro Griego Jr. as well as Rolando Barrientos died in the collision.
 
Furthermore, the investigation prompted the closure of the road until 12:30 p.m. CHP believed that both drivers were driving at 50 mph before the incident.
 
CHP also believed that drugs and alcohol may have been a factor in the crash.
