2 People Hurt in Coalinga Auto Accident on Highway 33 and Highway 198

COALINGA, CA (September 10, 2026) – Wednesday morning, an alarming rollover crash on Highway 33 and Highway 198 injured two people.

The incident happened at around 11:30 a.m. on Highway 33 and Highway 198.

According to reports, a white Acura travelled into oncoming traffic and collided with a truck tractor with two gravel trailers. Then, the force of the crash pushed the truck and trailers to roll over.

Moreover, responders airlifted the driver of the Acura to a hospital with major injuries. Also, officers said that the driver of the truck sustained minor injuries in the crash.

Furthermore, the crash closed Highway 33 at Highway 198 and Coalinga-Mendota Road.

At this time, the events leading to the crash remain unclear. When additional information becomes available, the public will be notified.

Due to limited information, the CHP continued its investigation into the crash.
