Wayne County, MO (April 2, 2026) — A 20-year-old passenger sustained serious injuries, and a 21-year-old driver lost his life Monday night following a rollover crash on Highway AA in Wayne County.

The crash happened around 8:15 p.m. along Missouri Highway AA, about five miles west of Piedmont. Authorities said the young driver was traveling in an SUV when the vehicle veered off the left side of the road and overturned.

The force of the crash ejected both the driver and his passenger from the vehicle. The driver suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
