Police Investigate Crash on Interstate 10 West at Hawkins in El Paso

EL PASO, TX (May 29, 2026)— Three people were hospitalized after a two-vehicle rollover crash on Interstate 10 West at Hawkins in El Paso.

According to the Texas Department of Transportation of El Paso, the crash closed all westbound lanes of I-10 at Hawkins.

Police said two vehicles were involved in the collision.

Officials reported that one person was airlifted to a hospital. Two others were transported to the hospital with minor injuries.

Video footage shared by Fitfam appeared to show a person being ejected from a vehicle during the crash before standing up and walking away.

Nearby surveillance cameras from Vicencio’s Ice captured the crash. The business’s office manager said she heard a loud bang and then saw a vehicle roll over multiple times. She said witnessing the crash was frightening and reminded her to be more careful on the road.

Authorities have not released additional details about what caused the crash or the conditions of those hospitalized.

The crash remains under investigation.
