Rollover Crash on Interstate 5 Led to Injuries [Lewis County, WA]

Hit-and-Run Driver Sought After I-5 Rollover Crash Injures Four in Lewis County

Lewis County, WA (January 19, 2026) — On Friday morning, 4 people were hurt after a rollover crash on Interstate 5 in Lewis County.

According to the Washington State Patrol, the collision happened around 9:40 a.m. on southbound I-5 near Napavine.

Reports say that troopers are searching for a driver who fled the scene after causing the rollover crash.

Investigators said an unidentified driver changed lanes and struck another southbound vehicle. The impacted vehicle then lost control, hit a freeway barrier, and rolled before coming to rest on the left shoulder.

The driver who caused the crash continued south on I-5 without stopping. Emergency responders transported four injured victims—a man and woman from Longview, a 31-year-old woman from Centralia, and a juvenile—to Providence Centralia Hospital for treatment.

Troopers are asking anyone with information about the fleeing driver or vehicle to contact Washington State Patrol.

Let’s Avoid Traffic Accidents

Avoiding auto accidents involves paying attention and practicing safe driving methods. And as always, you should follow the speed and traffic laws, and don’t text (or use your phone in any way) behind the wheel.

Keep a safe trailing distance to be able to stop, if necessary.

Do not drink and drive, and never get behind the wheel if you are under the influence of alcohol or drugs, or if you are tired.

Watch your mirrors and use your turn signals, and check your blind spots, before changing lanes or making a turn. Drive calmly and patiently, especially in heavy traffic or bad weather.

When you drive responsibly and remain alert, you help prevent accidents and keep everyone on the road safe.

Leaving the scene of a crash can delay critical medical care and carries serious legal consequences. Drivers involved in collisions should always stop, call for help, and remain at the scene to ensure everyone’s safety.
