Boone County, MO (June 19, 2025) — A rollover crash on Interstate 70 WB involving two vehicles shut down the interstate near the Route Z exit in Boone County on Wednesday evening and left one person injured.

Boone County Joint Communications reported the crash around 6:45 p.m. near mile marker 133, between North Route Z and the Callaway County line.

Responders arrived to find a pickup truck overturned in the westbound lanes with debris scattered across the roadway. Witnesses at the scene observed two occupants exit the truck following the crash.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol confirmed that the collision involved two vehicles and resulted in injuries. According to the Boone County Fire Protection District, two people were involved in the incident. One person sustained minor injuries and was transported to University Hospital, while the other declined medical treatment.

Authorities also reported a second crash in the same area that temporarily blocked the passing lane.
