LBPD Searches for Suspect Driver in Redondo Avenue Deadly Hit-and-Run Crash

Long Beach, CA (April 17, 2026) – 57-year-old Ronald Sera of Montebello has died Wednesday following a hit-and-run crash on Redondo Avenue.

Troopers said they received a hit-and-run crash report around 1:05 a.m. on February 28, in the area of Anaheim Street.

The authorities found Ronald Sera unconscious and rushed him to a hospital, until he died on Wednesday.

Investigators determined that a westbound Toyota Previa van on Anaheim Street struck Sera while in the Redondo Avenue crosswalk

The Toyota Previa drove west on Anaheim Street and fled the scene after the impact.
