Woman Killed on 101 Freeway in Hollywood Identified

Los Angeles, CA (November 15, 2025) — Authorities have identified 65-year-old Rosa Castaneda, as the woman found dead Tuesday night on the northbound Hollywood (101) Freeway in Hollywood.

The California Highway Patrol responded around 9:24 p.m. after callers reported a body lying in the lanes just north of Santa Monica Boulevard.

Officials later confirmed the victim as Castaneda, who died from blunt-force injuries consistent with being struck by a vehicle.

CHP is still working to determine the circumstances surrounding her death, and no additional details have been released.
