Rosalie Martin Seriously Hurt in 2-Car Collision on Highway 29 [Calistoga, CA]

Calistoga, CA (February 5, 2026) — A head-on collision on Highway 29, north of Calistoga sent Rosalie Martin and Marshall Baines to the hospital with major injuries Tuesday afternoon.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash happened around 12:30 p.m. on Highway 29, just north of Robert Louis Stevenson State Park.

Investigators said a Scion tC driven by a 76-year-old Baines from Clearlake Oaks crossed the double yellow lines and entered oncoming traffic.

The vehicle then collided with a Chevrolet Silverado driven by 52-year-old Martin, a Napa resident.

Both drivers sustained serious injuries and required hospitalization.

Authorities continue to investigate what caused the Scion to cross into the opposite lane.
