Royal City Man Injured in Vehicle Crash on SR 283 [Ephrata, WA]

Ephrata, WA (August 5, 2025) – A 26-year-old Royal City man was injured in a vehicle crash on SR 283 Monday.

WSP officers said an 18-year-old driver from East Wenatchee was traveling east on Road 9 NW when she failed to stop at a stop sign.

As a result, her vehicle struck a southbound car driven by the Royal City man at the intersection with SR 283. Both drivers suffered injuries. 

The driver from East Wenatchee was airlifted to Confluence Health, while the Royal City man was rushed to the same hospital by ambulance.

Investigators said both were wearing seatbelts during the collision and drugs or alcohol were not involved. 

The female driver is facing charges on failing to stop at the stop sign.
