Ruben Gutierrez Dies in Traffic Collision on Shell Reef Expressway [San Diego, CA]

San Diego, CA (October 24, 2022) On Saturday afternoon, 18-year-old Ruben Gutierrez of Mexico died in a 2-vehicle traffic collision on Shell Reef Expressway.

Authorities say that the fatal 2-vehicle crash happened at around 3:30 p.m. north of Ocotillo Wells Airport in Borrego Springs.

Reports say that a pickup truck collided with Gutierrez’s two-wheeler. Officials pronounced Gutierrez dead at the scene.

Authorities are investigating the fatal 2-vehicle crash and have not released further information at this time.
