37-Year-Old Salvador Medina Dies in Horrific Wrong-Way Collision on Seventh Street [Long Beach, CA]

Long Beach, CA (May 08, 2025) – 37-year-old Salvador Medina and another driver were killed in a high-speed wrong-way crash on Seventh Street.

According to authorities, the fatal collision happened around 6:30 a.m. on Seventh Street near Terraine Avenue in Long Beach.

Reports say that a high-speed wrong-way crash claimed the lives of two drivers early Wednesday morning.

Authorities say that a Honda Civic, traveling westbound at high speed, lost control and veered into oncoming traffic, crashing head-on into a Honda Accord.

Both drivers were pronounced dead at the scene. Authorities identified the driver of the Honda Accord as Medina, a resident of Long Beach. The identity of the Civic driver has not yet been released.

Preliminary investigations suggest that speed was a significant factor in the crash. The impact left both vehicles with severe front-end damage, scattering debris across the roadway. A small memorial has since been set up at the site to honor the victims.
