Samantha Anderson of Lubbock Killed in Collision on County Road 7700 [Lubbock, TX]

Lubbock, TX (November 24, 2023) – Samantha Anderson, a 40-year-old Lubbock woman, was killed following a collision on County Road 7700 Thursday night.

According to Texas DPS, a 48-year-old Lubbock man was eastbound when he drove slightly off the roadway into some loose dirt. The driver took an evasive action trying to get his vehicle back on the road.

The Lubbock man drove across the roadway into westbound traffic and collided with a vehicle driven by a 45-year-old Lubbock man.

The 45-year-old Lubbock man was taken to UMC with serious injuries, while his passenger, Samantha Anderson, was also transported but succumbed to her injuries at UMC. 

DPS said the 48-year-old Lubbock man was rushed to a Lubbock hospital with minor injuries.

Officers are investigating.
