Samantha Sandoval of Jurupa Valley Arrested in Hit-and-Run Crash on 22nd Street [Newport Beach, CA]

Newport Beach, CA (May 3, 2025) – The authorities arrested Samantha Sandoval, 21, of Jurupa Valley, Tuesday following a hit-and-run crash on 22nd Street.

The traffic collision happened on April 24 around 11:15 p.m. at the intersection with Newport Boulevard.

Investigators said a vehicle allegedly struck a pedestrian at the intersection and left the scene before the authorities arrived. 

The responding medical team rushed the victim with major injuries to the hospital.

Moreover, after an extensive investigation, the authorities located the suspect vehicle in Fontana on Saturday. The vehicle was then towed back to Newport Beach.

The authorities located the suspect, Samantha Sandoval, on Tuesday, and arrested her on suspicion of hit-and-run resulting in injury. They booked her at the Newport Beach Police Department Jail.
