Lincoln Avenue Big Rig Crash Results in Fatality

Corona, CA (July 30, 2026) – Santos Nunez Lopez, 55, of Riverside, lost his life following a 91 Freeway rear-end crash late Monday night.

It was past 11 p.m. when the deadly crash happened on the eastbound highway at Lincoln Avenue.

Troopers said the victim’s vehicle, a Honda Accord, broke down on the number 3 lane. Lopez was unable to push his car onto the freeway shoulder.

Lopez had his vehicle’s hazard lights on, but were reportedly difficult to see.

The big rig driver traveling at an unknown speed saw the Honda but did not have the time to stop. It then rear-ended Lopez’ vehicle.

As a result, the Honda was pushed and sustained major damage.

Rescuers responded to the collision and declared Lopez deceased at the scene.

The big rig’s driver was not hurt in the incident.

Investigators said alcohol or drugs were not factors in the fatal collision.
