Grimes County, TX (November 5, 2025) — Four people were hospitalized Monday morning following a school bus crash on FM 244 in Grimes County.

The Texas Department of Public Safety reported that the crash happened around 7:30 a.m. The school bus had four occupants — the driver, a driver aide, and two students — when it veered off the roadway.

Investigators said the bus driver swerved to avoid an oncoming SUV that had entered the wrong lane. The bus then slid into a steep roadside ditch, causing it to lose control.
