Police Search for the Driver After Fatal Hit-And-Run Crash on Strathern Street in Panorama City

Panorama City, CA (September 29, 2025) – A hit-and-run crash on Strathern Street killed a scooter rider Sunday night, and police are now searching for the driver responsible.

According to the Los Angeles Police Department, officers responded at about 9:37 p.m. to reports of a collision at the intersection of Strathern Street and Woodman Avenue.

Investigators said both the scooter and a vehicle were traveling northbound on Woodman Avenue when the driver struck the rider and fled without rendering aid.

L.A. Fire Department paramedics pronounced the victim, a man believed to be between 30 and 40 years old, dead at the scene. 

His belongings, including a backpack, were visible on the roadway near a white tent.

Police have not yet released the man’s identity or details about the suspect vehicle. The case remains under investigation.
