Marana, AZ (August 13, 2026) — Marana High School senior football standout Sean Roebuck Jr. is recovering from serious injuries sustained in a car crash that could sideline him for the 2026 season.

Roebuck suffered a fractured C7 vertebra, broken collarbone, two broken ribs, a fractured right eye socket, a broken jaw, and a liver laceration. He also sustained several abrasions on his right side. Doctors determined that his spinal injury does not require surgery, although he will need plastic surgery for his eye socket injury.

Roebuck initially required sedation and a ventilator. His condition improved as he regained consciousness, responded to family members, and moved his arms and legs. The latest family update indicated that he was breathing without the ventilator and continuing to recover.
