KNOX COUNTY, MO (August 19, 2026) – Monday morning, a northeast Missouri man and child sustained injuries in an alarming semi-tractor crash on Missouri Highway near Baring.

The incident occurred at about 8:30 a.m. on Missouri Highway 11, five miles west of Baring.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, a semi-tractor driven by a 49-year-old man from Queen City was heading west when it went off the roadway.

The truck then overturned.

The driver and a passenger, a three-year-old girl, also from Queen City, received minor injuries from the crash.

Both were taken by ambulance to Northeast Regional Medical Center in Kirksville for treatment.

The report states the child was wearing a safety device while the driver was not.
