Seth Berghoff Hurt in Horrific Traffic Collision on Interstate 90

Two Injured in Crash Involving State Patrol Vehicle on I-90 Vantage Bridge

Vantage, WA (February 26, 2025) – 44-year-old WSP officer Seth Berghoff of Moxee was hurt after a traumatic traffic collision on Interstate 90.

Authorities say that at around 2:39 p.m. a collision along the Interstate 90 Vantage Bridge injured two people, including a Washington State Patrol officer.

Reports say that 27-year-old Aaron P. Quinene of Spokane Valley lost control of a white 2023 Chrysler 300 while driving eastbound near Milepost 136.

The sedan crashed into a stationary State Patrol Ford Explorer, which had its emergency lights activated. Trooper Berghoff was inside the patrol vehicle when the crash occurred.

Emergency responders transported Quinene to Samaritan Hospital in Moses Lake and Berghoff to Kittitas Valley Healthcare in Ellensburg. Investigators determined that excessive speed contributed to the crash, leading to charges against Quinene.

Authorities confirmed that Berghoff was wearing a seatbelt, while Quinene was not.

Both vehicles sustained heavy damage and required towing. The Washington State Patrol continues to investigate the incident.
