Motorcyclist Killed in Nacogdoches Crash on Loop 224

Nacogdoches, TX (February 15, 2025) – 45-year-old Shawn Prichard of Nacogdoches was killed in a horrific motorcycle crash on Loop 224 Thursday evening.

According to the Nacogdoches Police Department, the fatal incident happened around 8 p.m. at the intersection of Northeast Stallings Drive and Center Highway.

Reports say that a motorcycle crash in Nacogdoches on Thursday night claimed the life of one rider.

Police reported that 18-year-old Araceli Esparza of Katy drove an SUV southbound on the loop and turned left at the intersection, cutting in front of a northbound motorcycle.

The impact ejected the motorcyclist, identified as Prichard. Emergency responders transported Prichard to a nearby hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries. Esparza also sustained minor injuries and received treatment at a local hospital.

Authorities continue to investigate the crash.
