Shocking 2-Car Collision on SR-18 Injures 3 People [Phelan, CA]

Phelan, CA (March 24, 2025) – A 2-car collision on SR-18 late Saturday night injured three people, including one critically.

According to the San Bernardino County Fire Department, the horrific crash happened just before 11:00 p.m. with the intersection of Johnson Road.

Reports say that the crash involved a 2021 Chevrolet Bolt EV and a 2002 GMC Yukon.

When San Bernardino County firefighters arrived, they found the GMC Yukon overturned on its side and the Chevrolet heavily damaged but upright.

A male occupant of the overturned vehicle sustained a severe head injury with significant bleeding. Emergency crews assessed two other patients with delayed injuries, while the critically injured individual was airlifted to a trauma center.

Authorities temporarily shut down both directions of SR-18 to allow a medical helicopter to land. The California Highway Patrol’s Victorville Station is investigating the crash.
