Shocking Head-On Crash on Interstate 45 Led to Injuries [Houston, TX]

Houston, TX (August 9, 2025) Early Tuesday morning, a 2-vehicle head-on crash on Interstate 45 left 2 people hurt and hospitalized.

According to authorities, the frightening collision happened on I-45 South at Parker Street at around 1 a.m.

Reports say that a man driving a blue Ford F-150 traveled north in the southbound lanes just north of I-610. The truck collided head-on with a sedan, injuring both occupants. The impact caused the truck to stop on the feeder road.

Debris from the initial crash triggered a second two-vehicle collision, which did not result in injuries. A Metro Police officer detained the wrong-way driver at the scene.

Paramedics transported the two sedan occupants to a local trauma center with moderate injuries. Houston police are investigating the incident as two separate crashes: a major wrong-way collision and a minor secondary crash.
