According to authorities, the horrific crash happened around 3 a.m. on State Route 97 near West Wapato Road.

Reports say that the pedestrian suffered injuries early Friday morning after a vehicle struck him.

Authorities say that Ohms crossed the roadway when a northbound vehicle driven by Puangyok Duke hit him.

Emergency responders transported Ohms to MultiCare Yakima Memorial Hospital for treatment. Duke was unharmed in the crash.
