Leeton, MO (May 16, 2025) On Wednesday, a mini motorcycle rider was hurt in a traffic collision on Lee Street.

According to authorities, the frightening collision happened around 5:15 p.m. at the intersection of Route EE and Lee Street.

Reports say that the rider suffered serious injuries after colliding with a passing pickup truck.

Authorities say that the crash prompted emergency crews to respond to the scene.

Officials reported that the 37-year-old Leeton man was traveling north on Lee St. on his mini motorcycle when he entered the intersection simultaneously with a 2015 Ford F-150 driven by a 49-year-old Leeton woman heading east.

The collision resulted in the motorcycle being totaled, while the pickup sustained only minor damage.

The motorcycle rider was transported to Western Missouri Medical Center by private vehicle with serious injuries. Officials confirmed that the pickup driver was wearing a seatbelt, but it remains unclear if the motorcyclist had been wearing a helmet. The investigation is ongoing.
