Shocking Traffic Crash on I-35 Kills Female Pedestrian [Waco, TX]

Waco, TX (February 9, 2025) – A female pedestrian was tragically killed Saturday evening after a horrific traffic crash on I-35.

According to Waco police, the frightening incident happened at about 10:59 p.m. near New Road.

Reports say that the woman lost her life after a tractor-trailer hit her while she attempted to cross Interstate 35 in Waco.

Police received a report about an individual dressed in all-black clothing crossing the freeway near New Road. While officers were on their way, a second call came in reporting an auto-pedestrian crash at the same location.

When officers arrived, they found the woman deceased at the scene. An initial investigation determined that a northbound tractor-trailer struck her as she attempted to cross the interstate. The driver remained at the scene and fully cooperated with authorities.

Police have not yet released the victim’s identity, and no arrests have been made.
