Shocking Vehicle Crash on Highway 63 Led to Injuries [Boone County, MO]

Boone County, MO (April 04, 2025) On Thursday evening, a rollover vehicle crash on Highway 63 left a 65-year-old man and a 72-year-old woman from Holts Summit with injuries.

According to authorities, the frightening crash happened near the Boone-Callaway County line.

Reports say that the man was driving a 2013 Nissan Quest southbound when he attempted to switch from the passing lane to the driving lane.

After noticing another vehicle alongside him, he swerved back and overcorrected, causing the vehicle to veer off the road, descend an embankment, hit several trees, and overturn onto its passenger side in a creek.

Emergency responders rescued both occupants after about 40 minutes. The driver suffered moderate injuries, while the passenger sustained serious injuries. Ambulances transported both to University Hospital.

The crash totaled the vehicle and temporarily closed the driving lane until around 7:30 p.m.
