Passenger Silvia Resendez Dead in I-10 Rear-End Crash [Vinton, TX]

Vinton, TX {August 1, 2026) – Silvia Resendez, 75, lost her life following an I-10 rear-end crash late Thursday night.

It was before 11 p.m. when the deadly crash happened near mile marker 2.

Police said the Honda Civic Resendez was a passenger at rear-ended a white GMC pickup truck that was towing a silver Dodge pickup truck on a flatbed.

The driver of the Honda Civic was transported to an area hospital in stable condition.

Moreover, the authorities arrested Victor Alonso Saucedo-Torres, 29, the GMC truck’s driver, on suspicion of driving drunk with a child in the vehicle. He was booked at the El Paso County Downtown Jail Friday with a charge on DWI with a child under 15 years of age. His bond set at $7,500.

Police did not believe Saucedo-Torres caused the collision, but that the Honda Civic struck the flatbed the GMC truck was hauling, started the collision.
