Plano, TX (November 3, 2025) — Authorities identified 25-year-old Alex Rangle of Plano as the passenger who died in a single-vehicle crash late Saturday night.

According to authorities, the collision occurred around 9:30 p.m. near 14th Street and Los Rios Boulevard.

Police said a white Chevrolet Silverado was heading south on La Paz Drive when the driver tried to make a left turn onto 14th Street at high speed. The pickup lost traction, overcorrected, and slammed into a wooden power pole, causing major damage to the passenger side.

Rangle died at the scene, while the driver was taken to a hospital with unspecified injuries. Investigators have not yet released the driver’s identity as the case remains under investigation.
