SAN ANTONIO, TX (May 20, 2026) – Tuesday morning, a 19-year-old man sustained injuries in a crippling single-vehicle crash on 4600 Southwest Loop 410.

The incident happened at around 1:00 a.m. in the 4600 block of Southwest Loop 410.

According to a preliminary report from the San Antonio Police Department, a 27-year-old driver and his 19-year-old passenger were traveling southbound on Southwest Loop 410 when the driver lost control of the vehicle and crashed into a metal beam.

Police said the vehicle rotated several times after the impact, ejecting both occupants.

First responders transported both men to a local hospital with possible life-threatening injuries. Authorities said the driver’s condition has since improved, while the 19-year-old passenger remains in critical condition.

Officers tested the driver at the scene and determined he was not intoxicated. SAPD said no charges are expected in connection with the crash.
